By Road :
There are two major interstates and a well-maintained network
of state highways here that help you to reach the destination.
As you enter the state the first stop is the Vermont's official
welcome centers where you find the friendly Vermonters who
are available to assist with reservations, travel information,
and directions.
By Air :
Direct air service to Vermont is available from:
New York - JFK
New York - LaGuardia
Newark
Boston
Chicago
Cincinatti
Detroit
Washington D.C. - National
Washington D.C. - Dulles

Rutland State Airport
US Airways Express, operated by Colgan Air, offers four daily
flights to Boston's Logan Airport.
State Airports :
There are more than a dozen of smaller public
airports in Vermont.
Rail:
The Amtrak passenger service is the main rail service here.
The rail service is available via two trains: The "Vermonter"
- this service is between Washington, D.C., New York and St.
Albans, makes nine stops along the length of Vermont. The
"Ethan Allen Express" - providing daily service between New
York and Rutland, with direct motorcoach service to the Killington
Resort. In and Around Rail Amtrak provides passenger rail
service in Vermont with both the Vermonter (Washington, DC
to St. Albans, via White River Junction) and the Ethan Allen
Express (New York City to Rutland, via Albany, NY).
Bus:
Greyhound Lines, Inc provides a great bus service and takes
you all around the state. Local bus service is provided by
Wheels Transportation between Barre and Montpelier. For information
on national buses call Vermont Transit at 223-7112 in Montpelier

Bike:
The Central Vermont Bike Path is in progress right now. Montpelier
has just opened a section of their Winooski East Path.
